Domestic cats with the look of tiny wild leopards!
Pocket Leopards Bengals is a Bengal Cat breeder in Sacramento CA. (Northern California.) Pocket Leopards Bengals specializes first and foremost in charcoal brown bengals, charcoal silver bengals and charcoal snow bengals (charcoal of all colors), but we also produce and have bengal kittens for sale in the regular colors of brown bengals, silver bengals, and snow bengals. In both the spotted / rosetted and marble patterns.
Leader in charcoal bengal research. My research made possible the development of a DNA test for charcoal coat pattern/color. For more info on this, please go to the UC Davis Veterinary Genetics Laboratory Website here: http://www.vgl.ucdavis.edu/services/coatcolorcat.php and scroll down to "charcoal pattern".

STOP! PLEASE READ FIRST:
Anyone who has come to this site as a potential bengal kitten buyer, please be aware that I am overwhelmed by tons of emails, texts and phone calls every day about bengal kittens. Most people contact me to ask questions that are already answered on the website. In order to take my work load down and to help me to answer you faster, before contacting me, please read over the website and try to find answers to your questions.
Pocket Leopards prices according to quality. Prices can vary widely. From $800 up to $4000 as pets. WE NO LONGER sell our bengals as breeder cats.
From time to time I have cats that are above or below the quoted price range. From time to time I also have adults/retirees available for a nominal adoption fee.
Due to buyer demand, we have decided to reinstate our waiting lists. You may now get on a waiting list for a kitten. The waiting list deposit is $200 and is applied towards the purchase price of the kitten.
If after 6 months we have not offered you the color, pattern and sex of kitten you are waiting for, we will refund your deposit at your request, or you may stay on the list.
The waiting list deposit secures your place for a kitten fitting your description from the kittens I make available (I may not make all of them available to you, I may hold back any kitten for an unspecified amount of time in order to evaluate kittens).
Once I make a kitten available to you, you must answer to either accept or decline my offer of a kitten within a designated time frame (usually 3 days), or I will move on to the next person on the list.
To get on the waiting list, you must first fill out the buyer questionnaire on our website, and be approved to purchase a kitten from us first.
I will ship anywhere in the continental USA for around $350. This is the actual cost for me and includes health certificate from vet and airfare. I do not charge extra for my time. Shipping is via airlines.
I will occasionally do very limited shipping out of the USA but the cat needs to sell for over a certain amount because international shipping is a lot of work and headache. Cats that ship out of the USA will be priced higher than what they would normally price at in the USA. I cannot quarantine any cats, as I do not have the room to do so. I hold a USFW export license.
Visitors (PLEASE READ BEFORE ARRIVING)
Visitors are allowed at our cattery on a limited basis and the visit MUST be pre scheduled with me. If you are coming to look at a kitten, please be on time. If you must cancel, I require 24 hours notice. If you are more than 30 minutes late to an appointment without calling or texting me, I will cancel your appointment. If you don't show up and don't give me advance notice, I may not reschedule your appointment.
If you are coming to pick up a kitten, I ask that you also try and give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel, and if you are going to be late, please call me or text me to let me know.
All visitors either picking up or coming to look, will be given a one hour time window to be here. Unless discussed ahead of time and approved for a specific reason, you will not be allowed to stay longer than one hour. If you must stay longer, (requires advance approval and scheduling), I will charge $10 per hour for my time that I have to take away from other obligations and work.
Please respect my home. This is not a pet shop. No wandering into other areas or tours allowed. I have large animals and beehives on my property and people wandering around could quickly become a liability for me. Please stay in the areas I show you, or you will be asked to leave and will not be allowed back.
note: I will only schedule visits for people who are ready to BUY a kitten. I do not allow visits for people just window shopping. I do not have the time for that.
Also, in respect of my privacy, no picture taking or video taping allowed unless you have permission by me.
Handling kittens - Visitors are no longer allowed to handle any of our kittens. This includes grabbing or picking them up. Visitors may sit on the floor or the chairs and allow kittens to come to them and they may pet them and play with them and even let them crawl on their lap, but are not allowed to handle them. The reason is because many visitors walk in the kitten area and immediately try and pick up the kittens and the kitten get afraid because they have not had time to access the safety of the stranger they are encountering. So the kittens may struggle and get dropped. I cannot count how many times kittens have been dropped on their heads because of this. Also every time this happens, the kittens are more leery about the next "stranger" that arrives. If you sit and let the kittens check you out and come to you, they will be much quicker to come out of their shell.
Due to too many breeders attempting to break our contracts, we no longer sell cats as breeders. All kittens/cats sold will be spayed or neutered prior to leaving our cattery. No exceptions.
We do not routinely vaccinate our kittens. Our vaccine policy is on our website in detail if you would like to know why. The only vaccines we give is rabies if it is required by law. For more information go here: http://littleleopardcats.com/bengalinformation/vaccines.html
Our cats and kittens are fed a diet of raw ground chicken with the bone and a few supplements. We think its very important for new owners to keep bengals on this diet as it is the most healthy and natural diet for a cat.
All of our kittens and cats are on a deworming schedule. We use revolution topical and fenbendazole when we feel they are needed. We also use other products depending on what we have on hand.
Our adult cats are routinely screened for HCM.
Our kittens come with a health guarantee, which can be found on our website.
