DILLY'S STORY - Dilly Vs. The Humming Bird

I have a cat named Dilly. She's the kind of bengal you really can't
help but to love. She's like the bengal version of Dennis the Menace.
She gets into everything and she has that sweet little innocent meow
and sweet innocent face to back up that meow. So no matter what she does, I can't be mad at her. Even when she plays in the toilet and then decides to lay on my
bed to dry off.

Well, Dilly is not quite a year old yet and hasn't gone into a strong
heat so I am holding her off a bit for breeding. She's a big girl
though for her age. Very solid and heavy.

Anyway, today she darted out of one of the bedrooms I have her in, but
I just let her run the house because I don't mind her doing that.
She's already learned not to jump off of the balcony in my house. The
first time she did that she limped for a week.

Well today after she escaped from the room, I was outside in the front
yard taking pictures of a kitten and I heard a loud "CRASH". I was
very puzzled as to what it was. I went to look out back where the
outside cats are kept and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.
Then I saw Dilly, standing there outside on the cat patio, hiding under a table, fur
standing on end, and looking very startled.

I screamed at my daughter "WHAT IS DILLY DOING OUTSIDE?" because Dilly
is not supposed to be out with the other cats yet, because she's not
ready to breed and sometimes my boys escape their stud enclosures and get in the cat  area (thank
goodness none of them were out at that time, but one got out about an
hour later)

I surmised that my daughter had accidentally let her outside when she
went out to feed, even though my daughter swore up and down she never
let her out.

I let Dilly in and she took off upstairs, very upset and shaken. I
still could not figure out where the crashing sound came from and
exactly how Dilly got outside past my daughter unnoticed.

Then I went upstairs to my bedroom and figured it out and lo and behold...the answer came to me quickly. Now to explain
properly, I have to show you pictures.

part 2

Ok now so Dilly loves to be in my room and to sit on my window sill to watch the humming birds. There is a humming bird feeder right in the window. A little male humming bird loves to torment Dilly through the glass. The bird will hover right in front of her and make an obnoxious chirp at her like "I dare you to come any closer to my feeder, I might just peck your face off". The humming bird also chases all other humming birds away from the feeder, by the way. Dilly gets irritated and puts her ears back and swishes her tail, but she has been biding her time and waiting patiently to teach that bird a good lesson.

Below is a picture of Dilly in the window and a picture of the window and of the humming bird feeder.

The hummer...see that mischevious look in his eye?!!
So I go into my bedroom and I notice that my window is open. I had opened it earlier to let some fresh spring air in the house.

I get one of those uh oh moments. Then I walk over to the window and look down, and this is what I see.

I then run downstairs and look out of the patio door again, and look up this time, and this is what I see....
