Granite Bengals Luxor seal mink spotted male Sire: Junglebook Made In The USA (seal sepia) Dam:Granitebengals Ice Dancer (silver)
Luxor was the foundation upon which my whole breeding program was built. Luxor had some of the best type I have ever seen in an SBT. One of the most notable aspects of Luxor was that he consistantly produced "charcoal" colored kittens no matter what dam he was bred to. Luxor was responsible for me starting the breeding of charcoal browns in my own program, which led other breeders to also take up the breeding of charcoal browns, even though previously charcoals were rare in the SBT generation and as far as I know, no one was breeding SBT charcoals. I believe strongly that most chacoal browns used in breeding programs today came from Luxor. If you look far enough back in the pedigree you will almost always find Luxor or one of his offspring. Now, we are also getting charcoal looking snows and charcoal silvers from offspring of Luxor. My belief is that as time goes on, breeders will be seeing many more charcoal browns, charcoal silver and charcoal snows, thanks to Luxor!
Note: If you currently own or have any pictures of some of Luxors offspring or a charcoal that came from his lines, I ask for you to contact me. I would love to use the pictures of any such cat here. |
