RJ is the first boy I have kept back for my own breeding program. Most bengals take time to develop rosetting, however, this boy came out of his mother's womb showing off his spectacular rosettes. I knew from the moment he was born that I had to keep him, and I am sure happy I did.
This boy has matured to be a very warm reddish color with those dark, non-fading rosettes. Pretty much every inch of this boy is rosetted. He has great "type" as well. His beautiful coat, combined with his awesome "type" and mixed together with his loveable personality is what made this cat such a good choice for my breeding program.
RJ was originally kept back to be a show cat, but the tip of his tail was acidentally slammed in the door so that ended his show career before it started. Hadn't it been for that, I am sure he would have done very well in the shows and would have been titled by now.
He has proved himself more than once with his outstanding kittens. He has consistently given me more than a few show quality kittens in every litter. My only problem with his kittens is having to talk myself into letting them go and not keeping them for my own program! But you can't keep them all, unfortunately.
