DEPOSITS Please review the question and answers about submitting deposits. If there is a question you have that is not covered here, feel free to contact me and ask your question directly.
1.) Q: I am not of the waiting list but I see some upcoming litters and would like first chance at a kitten from one of them, what do I need to do?
A: You would submit a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to get on the waiting list (as outlined on the "waiting list" page). When kittens are born that fit the kitten specifications that you are waiting for, we will contact you with info and pictures, ect. You will have 5 days from the time we contact you with a price to decide on a kitten or to pass and wait for the next litter. You may pass on any kitten offered as long as you'd like until you are offered one that meets your expectations. Please remember that your deposit is non-refundable should you change your mind on making a purchase but does apply towards the purchase price of the kitten
2.)Q: Ok, I'm on the waiting list and have decided to purchase a kitten that was offered to me, now what should I do? A: Now you would submit a $150.00 deposit to hold the specific kitten until it reaches 12 weeks oldn and ready to go. Once you put your deposit on the actual kitten, the kitten will be taken off of the market and will not be offered to anyone else (unless seller changes mind ablout placing a particular kitten, if this happens, buyer would be automatically refunded the deposit). Please remember that your deposit is non-refundable should you change your mind on making the purchase but does apply towards the purchase price of the kitten.
3.) Q: What if I'm not on the waiting list but see an available kitten on the website that I want to buy?
A: You would then go to our purchase application/questionnaire page and fill it out and submit it to us. We will contact you so you can finalize the purchase. If the kitten is not old enough yet to leave you would then submit a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to hold the kitten until it reaches 12 weeks old. Once you put your deposit on the actual kitten, the kitten will be taken off of the market and will not be offered to anyone else. Please remember that your deposit is non-refundable should you change your mind on making the purchase but does apply towards the purchase price of the kitten.
4.) Q: I would like to get on the waiting list for a kitten to breed or I see a kitten that I want to buy as a breeder, what do I do?
A: Please first go to our "Becoming A Bengal Breeder Page" (the page is on the menu to your left). If your a new breeder, please read the entire page and then fill out the questionnaire. If your a seasoned breeder, please just fill out any parts of the questionnaire that apply to you. I will contact you so that you can be added to a separate waiting list for breeder/show quality kittens. Sometimes I offer breeding/show quality kittens as pets but they will be offered as breeders first. If you see an available kitten being offered as a breeder, please follow the same steps as above. When I contact you, you can submit your non-refundable deposit at that time so that I can hold the kitten for you until it is ready to go.
5.) Q: I see a kitten on the website that is already 12 weeks or older and has been spayed or neutered. Do I still have to submit a deposit to buy the kitten now?
A: No. The deposits are only to ensure that the person waiting on the list and/or holding a kitten intends to follow through on the purchase. If you see one that is ready to go, you may purchase the kitten straight out without a deposit. We will still ask you to fill out the "purchase application" first though to ensure you are a suitable home for one of our kittens/cats.
6.) Q: I would like to purchase a kitten/cat that I see on the website, can you hold the kitten for me for a few days while I send payment in?
A: Yes, most of the time we will hold the cat or kitten for 2 or 3 days without a deposit while we wait for payment or the deposit to come in. Please be aware that we do not accept checks or paypal for the final payment. We will only accept money orders or cash. We will accept those forms of payment for deposits though.
7.)Q: Will every kitten born be available to me for first pick if I send in a deposit? A: No, Your waiting list deposit puts you on the waiting list for a specific type of kitten. If you are waiting for a pet kitten and someone else is waiting for a breeder kitten, and a breeder quality kitten is born, the person waiting for a breeder kitten will get first choice.
In addition, some we may decide to hold back for ourselves or sell only as breeders or show kittens. This does not mean that you'll never be offered a show quality or breeder quality kitten though. Many times we will sell show quality as pets (at a higher pet price). We reserve the right to hold some back to sell only as breeders/show cats. We will not hold all high quality kittens back but like to hold some back every now and then.
You also will not be offered any kitten that you are not waiting for. For instance, if you're waiting for a brown marble male, we will not give you first pick at a brown spotted unless you change your request BEFORE the kitten is born or if there is no one else waiting for that specific type of kitten.
Your deposit puts you in order by date deposits are recieved. So, for instance, if you and another person are both waiting for a brown spotted male, whomever sent the deposit first gets first right to refusal and so on till we reach the end of the list. You may have to wait for a number of litters to be born to reach you on the list but it is much better than not having a deposit and never getting a chance at a kitten of your choice.
8.)Q: I am interested in getting a kitten that's already on hold or getting one like that when one becomes available, but I don't want to get on the waiting list. Will you contact me and let me know if one becomes available?
A:Generally speaking, no. The reason is because it is much too hard to keep track of everyone interested in kittens. On average we get 2 -10 calls or emails per day from different interested ones. In the past we had long lists of interested people but it was too much work. If your interested in a particular kitten and are hoping that kitten will become available, you must keep checking the website to see if it becomes available. If you see one available that you like, feel free to contact me to see how you can put a deposit on it at that time. Please understand that if you don't get on the waiting list, you might not ever get the type of kitten your looking for.
NOTE:Pocket Leopards cattery reserves the right to cancel the sale of any kitten prior to delivery, for any reason, regardless if there is a deposit on the kitten or not. If Pocket leopards Cattery cancels the sale, the deposit will automatically be refunded to the Purchaser.
