Why should I get on the waiting list?

We generally only let each of our queens have two litters per year. This is how it works for each breeding queen:
The current litter will at least need to be weaned before breeding her again (maybe longer for recoup time). That takes approximately. 12 weeks. Now if we bred her again after the 12 weeks(at the earliest) she will be pregnant for another 9 weeks. Then add another 12 weeks for the kittens to be ready for a new home and that all adds up to around 33 weeks (and that's the absolute earliest). That's over 8 months! There's no guarantee you'll get a kitten from that litter either, so I can't tell you enough how important it is to get on the waiting list.
When kittens are born we contact those on the waiting list before we offer the kittens to anyone else.

How Can I Get On The Waiting List?

We now require a  $50.00 deposit to get on the waiting list. The deposit is non-refundable but will go toward the purchase price of the kitten. We will put those with deposits on the waiting list in the order we receive them. When the type of kitten your waiting for is available, we will contact those with earliest deposits first. The person has a specified time to make a decision to purchase or pass on the particular kitten. If the person decides to pass on the kitten the deposit remains with us and they wait for the next litter to be born. The person with a deposit has the right of refusal.  If the person with a deposit does not make a decision within the specified time frame or refuses any particular kitten, we will automatically make the kitten available to the next person on the list but they still have the first pick from the next litter.  Pocket Leopards reserves the right to hold back any kitten that we choose for ourselves regardless of how many people are on the waiting list. We will not contact you about any kitten that your not waiting for. For example: if your waiting for a silver spotted we will not contact you about a brown spotted.

To get on the waiting list, you must fill out the waiting list application/questionnaire by clicking here.

For those without deposits, if a kitten becomes available, it will be a first come-first served basis. Please be aware that if you do not send in a deposit, there is no guarantee you'll ever be picked since new ones are being added to the waiting list all of the time.

Please understand that we will only place our kittens into the best, most loving homes possible. The information we collect on the application is so that we can match up any prospective buyers with the best kitten for them. We will never give or sell your info to anyone.

After we review your application we will contact you to discuss any potential problems or to let you know that it is ok for you to send in your deposit (if you want to be on the waiting list) or to notify you that we have added you to the waiting list.

At that time you can send in your deposit (via Paypal, check or money order) if you're being added to the waiting list.

Once you are added to either waiting lists, we will contact you via email with any litter announcements, kitten updates and pictures, videos, ect.

Once you choose a kitten you will be required to submit a non-refundable(but applies towards the purchase price)$150.00 deposit to hold that kitten until it is ready to go home with you. (for breeder kittens the deposit is $300.00). For info on kitten deposits see the "deposits" link on our website.
